Kavorkian plays around with electronic landscapes, distorted beats and saturated screaming.
While the first side of the tape is a critique of our modern capitalist world where corporations corner the customers and try to squeeze every cent they can get out of them (the eponymous Copper Fields); the second one is a situational analysis of the protest movements that have been going on over the past years. The fact that they've been growing in intensity is seen as a paradox, since a lot of people seem oblivious to the problem, turning technologies into some disposable and superficial sources of entertainment while they could be ommunicating tools and ways to share actual knowledge in a 2020's crumbling world.
On Copper Fields, Carl Kavorkian pushes new boundaries within the industrial / noise rap scene that exploded during the last few years. Keeping a characteristic raw style, driving at the listener a noise landscape steamroller crushing him during the whole album, Kavorkian screams to the face of an ignorant and stubborn world, for it is time to wake up.
